During the visit, they discussed the problems of inadequate pharmaceutical waste disposal, its impact on the environment and human health, and the project’s goals and importance.
On December 24, 2025, at the European House in Niš, the project manager, Professor Aleksandra Catić Đorđević, PhD, and assistant Ana Kundalić, PhD, presented the project’s goals, planned activities, and introduced the public to the problems of pharmaceutical waste. The presentation was attended by representatives of the academic community, professors from the University of Nis, representatives of companies and environmental organisations, doctoral students, researchers, and other interested citizens.
On December 15, 2025, assistant Dr Aleksandar Jovanović presented the project to the members of the Biological Research Society “Josif Pančić” in Belgrade. During the presentation, the ecotoxicological aspects and consequences of improper disposal of pharmaceutical waste were particularly emphasised.
